An investigation team from the Education Administration Committee of the Ministry of Education paid a visit to our college

On November 10, 2020, experts from the education steering committee of public administration major of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Education made a field visit to the state-level construction site of public administration and public service management of our university. The expert group consisted of Professor Zhu Zhengwei, president of the Trade Union of Xi 'an Jiaotong University and former dean of The School of Public Politics and Management; Professor Wang Zhanqi, dean of the School of Public Administration of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan); Professor Huang Bingzhi, Director of the Department of Customs Management of Shanghai Customs College; Professor Feng Xiaoyun, vice President of Southwest Jiaotong University; leaders from the Party Committee and Student Affairs Department, Academic Affairs Department, Personnel Department, Enrollment and Employment Office, asset and Laboratory Management office; and teachers, students and alumni representatives from the School of Public Management and Law actively supported the two-day visit.

At 15:00 p.m. on November 9th, 2000, the inspection meeting began. At the beginning of the meeting, Vice Principal Feng Xiaoyun, on behalf of the school, gave a warm welcome to the visiting group and summarized the current development status of the school and the achievements in the construction of the two first-class disciplines. Afterwards, Professor Zhu Zhengwei made a speech on behalf of the expert group and pointed out the key contents and objectives of the visit. Then Professor Chen Guang made a detailed report on the achievements of the discipline construction of public utilities management from five aspects, including the general situation of the major, the level of the major construction, the major positioning, the subject advantage and the progress of the comprehensive reform of the major. In the exchange and discussion link, the investigation group discussed with the school leaders about the related problems in the professional construction, while other delegates answered the questions such as "how to improve the incentive mechanism for the construction of first-class disciplines", "how to build curriculum ideology and politics" and "how to calculate practical credits" in detail.

After the meeting, the team had a discussion with faculty representatives, student representatives and alumni representatives. In the teachers' forum, Professor Zhu Zhengwei proposed two requirements for consolidating the results of first-class discipline evaluation, namely "being good at summarizing experience and daring to ask questions", which was unanimously agreed by the participants. In addition, Professor Zhu pointed out that the discipline construction should reflect The Chinese characteristics and school style, and invited the attending teachers to express their views and make suggestions on how to achieve this goal. In this regard, combined with the actual education of the major and relevant experience, Director Liu Guihua in the allocation of teachers, the introduction of new teaching materials, mixed discipline construction concept, teaching evaluation standards and other aspects of feasible suggestions. During this period, Professor Wang Zhanqi also inquired about the laboratory construction and the evaluation index of the faculty's professional title, and Vice President Li Huaqiang responded one by one. In response to professor Huang Bingzhi's suggestion on "how to solve the problem of students playing mobile phones", Professor Yu Lingyun said that "under the strong guidance of the college's measures such as optimizing teaching and designing credit ratio, the phenomenon has been greatly improved". At the symposiums of student representatives and alumni representatives, experts and students of the investigation group had in-depth exchanges on issues such as curriculum setting, use of teaching resources, participation in study Tours and international conferences, professional pride and the practicality of what they had learned.

At 8:30 a.m. on November 10, 2020, accompanied by Secretary Gao Fan, four members of the investigation team carefully reviewed relevant materials in the 01212 classroom and made detailed records. In the process of consulting, the investigation team put forward opinions and suggestions on the overall framework construction of ideological and political courses of the college and pointed out that "the problem of running schools in China lies not in infrastructure, but in the concept and practice of running schools".

At the conclusion meeting, Professor Zhu Zhengwei, on behalf of the delegation, congratulated and spoke highly of the achievements made by theSchool of Public Affairs & Lawin the construction of the major of public Administration, and put forward some guidance and suggestions on deepening the construction of new liberal arts and improving the core competitiveness of the major. President Wang Yongjie expressed his sincere thanks for the valuable advice and pointed out that expert advice will be drawn to help the healthy development of public utilities management. Professor Kang Rui also believes that "the feedback from the expert group is objective and accurate, with strong guidance, which is of great guiding significance to the construction of the public service management major. On behalf of the School of Public Administration and Political Science and Law, the expert group expresses that it will accept these suggestions with a sincere and pragmatic attitude and promote the better development of the public service management major."
